Having used numerous cheap blender/mixers for the few years I noticed that they tend to not last very long so I thought it was time to invest in a better smoothie blender as a long-term solution. There are various types of blenders out there hence so many to choose from and if you're not patient enough to find the right one for you - it'll surely make your head spin considering the fact that you may need to compare prices as well.
I had done my research on the net and compared reviews and prices between many of the top contenders, both pricey and cheap options. I opted to go for a higher end unit based upon the build quality, customer reviews and being able to purchase it for a great price using my saved Nectar points to get a good discount. I was split between the NutriBullet and the Nutri Ninja high power blender/ smoothie makers. After some considerations, I eventually decided the NutriBullet would be the one for us.
The NutriBullet comes in a couple of different power options and also with differing amounts of accessories. I went for the basic option, which seemed plenty powerful at 600W and coming with 12 accessories was more than adequate for our general use.

I purchased the NutriBullet in a graphite grey colour, which in my opinion looks really stylish and clean, especially against our silver kitchen units and wood effect worktop. In fact it would probably look great wherever you place it!
It really is a beautiful looking piece of kit and the colour really does make it stand whilst expressing a quality look to it. It’s something you want to be featured and displayed proudly on your kitchen work top. You wouldn't even fancy keeping it in your cupboard as it’s too pretty to be kept hidden away and with it sitting right in front of your face every morning inviting you to make some refreshing smoothies. You'll certainly not going to forget to have your daily smoothie which is a tremendous way to fuel yourself a vitamin-filled dose of fruit and veg on the go.

“The NutriBullet completely breaks down ingredients into a pulp free, delicious smoothie- liquefying and mixing together all the essential nutrition to help you on your way to 5 a day!
It is able to burst open seeds, crack through stems, and shred tough skins to get the most out of your fruit and vegetables. The NutriBullet system is so easy to use, simply load the container, place on to the power base and twist the container off.
The powerful 600W motor and cyclone technology produces a better, smoother consistency without all the pulp and its extremely easy to clean- simply rinse under the tap and its ready to use again.”Source: John Lewis

Here I have put a list of pros & cons of our experience using the NutriBullet 600W so far…
PROS
· Produces a lovely smooth texture, can easily blend up ice and frozen fruit without leaving any lumps behind.
· It is very easy to clean and is dishwasher safe, be sure to give it a quick rinse first thing after finishing so the residue does not cake to the sides.
· It is very compact and will sit nicely in the corner of your kitchen without taking up much space.
· The NutriBullet is by far the most stylish blender around compared to any other I have seen. It is sleek, stylish (with a futuristic touch) and comes in a variety of lovely colours, graphite grey being my favourite!
· They include a great little guide in the box giving you recipes for a variety of different smoothies to help you get started.
CONS
· Can be on the pricey side if you aren’t able to find one on a deal. £65-70 seems to be the average retail price. I managed to get it cheaper by using some Nectar Points I had built up.
· The NutriBullet only comes with a one year warranty whereas many of the other blenders include a longer warranty.
· We had experienced the NutriBullet from time to time jumping & sliding across the surface (not by much though). Especially when I first start it up, this is probably because I put in the harder frozen fruit and ice in last, which has sat nearer the grinder & caused a lot of friction.
· There is actually no On/Off button on the machine. You can only blend by turning the cup once in the pod or turning on the plug socket. I prefer to attach everything first then press the main power switch to be on the safe side.
Our Score: 8/10
The NutriBullet 600W is a beautiful piece of kit. It produces a fine smoothie and cleaning afterwards really doesn’t have to be hard after a quick rinse and wipe or even a fast dishwasher cycle and it’s squeaky clean. It looks the part and is much powerful enough for the moderate user. However the extra couple of points have been lost due to the high retail price tag and the issue with it sometimes moving across the worktop now and again. I would highly recommend buying this product if you love your smoothies or simply looking for a quick way to aid your healthy lifestyle.
